HOW TO USE IT
Crop image, step by step
- Choose one static image and select the aspect ratio you need.
- Move the horizontal and vertical sliders to keep your subject in frame. Increase zoom for a tighter crop.
- Press Crop & preview. Adjust again if needed, then download the finished copy.
Choose the frame before the resolution
A crop removes pixels outside the selected frame. A square works for a profile image or a consistent product grid; 4:5 keeps more of a portrait, while 16:9 makes a wide cover image. The ratio defines the shape, not an exact pixel size. Set the maximum export width afterward to control the resolution.
Keep a subject away from the edge
Start at 100% zoom to retain the most detail. If the image already matches your chosen ratio, the position sliders have no effect until you zoom in: there is no extra area to move across. For a headshot, leave a little space above the head and check that your destination does not crop it again.
File support and export limits
Use static JPG, PNG or WebP files. HEIC, GIF, SVG and animated images are not supported. Each file can be up to 25MB and 40 million pixels; a batch can total up to 120MB. Image exports are limited to 16 million pixels and 8,192 pixels on either edge. These limits can reduce large images. PDF pages use re-encoded images. Does cropping change my original?
No. The crop is a new download. The original file on your device is unchanged.
Can I keep a transparent background?
Choose PNG or WebP. JPG fills transparent pixels with white. This tool crops a rectangle; it does not cut out a person or object.
