Image background color, step by step

1. Choose transparent logos, cutouts or other images.
2. Pick a background color and set optional padding around each image.
3. Apply the background, check the result and download the batch or individual files.

Fill transparent areas or add breathing room

A transparent PNG or WebP can look different depending on the page behind it. Filling transparency with a solid color makes the intended background part of the exported image. Padding adds the same number of pixels to every side, which can give a logo or product cutout some space before you place it in a document.

This tool fills transparency

An existing opaque background stays in place. Selecting blue does not remove a white backdrop from a photograph or detect a person. For those images, the chosen color appears only in added padding. Start with a transparent cutout if you want the color to show behind the subject. The image is fitted inside the export limit with room reserved for padding, so the total output remains bounded.

File support and export limits

Use static JPG, PNG or WebP files. HEIC, GIF, SVG and animated images are not supported. Each file can be up to 25MB and 40 million pixels; a batch can total up to 120MB. Image exports are limited to 16 million pixels and 8,192 pixels on either edge. These limits can reduce large images. PDF pages use re-encoded images.
